Olympic and Paralympic Games of London 2012  |
The 2012 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad or "London 2012 Olympic Games", are scheduled to take place in London, England, United Kingdom from 27 July to 12 August 2012.[ London will become the first city to officially host the modern Olympic Games three times, having previously done so in 1908 and in 1948.
Started in 2012, on January 5, the Royal Post Mail issued two stamps with logos of the Olympic Games.

The creation of 30 stamps marks the fact that this is the 30th Olympiad, and also represents every sport in both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The 30 stamps have been designed by 30 different artists.
2009 - “The Journey to 2012”. The first set of Royal Mail’s Olympic and Paralympic Games stamps was issued on 22 October 2009. The issue featured Canoe Slalom, Archery, Athletics:Track, Aquatics, Boccia, Judo, Equestrian, Badminton, Weightlifting and Basketball.
2010 - “On Track For 2012”. The second set of Royal Mail’s Olympic and Paralympic Games stamps was issued on 27 July 2010. The issue featured Rowing, Shooting, Modern Pentathlon, Taekwondo, Cycling, Table Tennis, Hockey, Football, Goalball and Boxing.
2011 - ‘Get ready for 2012’, the Special Stamp issue features classic Olympic sports such as field athletics and gymnastics as well as more recent additions to the Olympic and Paralympic Games including triathlon,
2012 - The Isle of Man Post Office issue on january 1, 2012, 7 stamps to celebrate the 2012 London Olympic Games
