National Philatelic Exhibition of SAINT PIERRE ET MIQUELON 2011

The “Saint Pierre & Miquelon 2011” FIAF sponsored philatelic exhibit was carried out June 2-4 in the “Salle des Fetes” and was a great success.Four international judges were on hand for the qualification and conferring of awards. The exhibit was the first of its kind on the archipelago with 180 frames provided by the Halifax and St John’s (Newfoundland) clubs.

In attendance were the FIAF President, Dr. James Mazepa, the FIP Vice-president , Mr. Peter McCann, and the President of the European Academy of Philately, Mr. Henk Slabbinck. The President of the Jurors was Mr. Charles Verge (FIP Juror in the Traditional , Postal History , Youth and Literature classes), Mr. John Mc Intyre (Canada). was also present at the show.
